WELCOME
We are very excited that you have made it this far. Perhaps you have many questions about what we believe and how our church works. To that end, we introduce you to our principles and how Philadelphia Church is made up. Everything is designed so that we can grow together in the knowledge of God and strengthen the bonds of friendship. If you have any question, our team is ready to assist you.
Who are we?
We are on the road together as disciples of Jesus. We are ordinary people who believe in God, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Regardless of our differences in age, background, and culture, … this belief connects us. We are on the road together. We are all travelling in one direction, we are following Jesus. We believe He came to the world as one of us to demonstrate who God is. Jesus is God. He brought God close to us. He lived among us humans and showed God’s heart to the world. We want to follow his example.
What to Expect
Have you never been to church? Or not for a long time? Or recently? Either way, you are very welcome to attend a Sunday service.
The doors open at 10:00 am. You will find part of our welcome team at the door, welcoming you with a big smile. Coffee will be provided til 10:25. You will see people praying at the front; don’t worry. Usually, the team meets at 10:00 to pray; you can join, but you don’t have to.
Our Sunday service celebration starts at 10.30. We begin with a blessing and welcoming, and we sing a few songs accompanied by the music team. Then, we hear a message from the Bible. The preaching is being translated into French and English with headphones. When the main pastor preaches he uses a translator form Spanish to Dutch. We end with prayer and a song. After the service, we chatted over coffee or some delicious tea.
Can I bring my children?
Children and young people are very welcome! We have a nursery, a children’s program, and a youth program tailored to their age between 2 ½ and 12 years old. Children’s service on Sundays begins right after the third song. There is singing, games, and learning about God together.

Our Beliefs & Values
We are an active church, passionate about who God is! We live in a personal relationship with Jesus. We immerse ourselves in God’s Word and know who He is. We give space to the Holy Spirit. We engage in harmony and authenticity together and want, through word and deed, to be witnesses in the world around us.

Connection with God
We want to help people grow in their relationship with God and knowing God. We want to give individuals and families a place where they are welcome and adapted to their age and situation to get in touch with God and His word.
Connecting
Ecclesiastes 1:6 reminds us of the importance of fellowship. Two are better than one. As a church, we are committed to creating spaces where fellowship is part of who we are. We do this through small groups, men’s and women’s meetings, or special occasions.
Testifying
Our vision is based on Matthew 28:19-20. Go and make disciples and baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that each one has been given gifts to build His church on earth. Our desire is that everyone can express their faith everywhere and can be part of what God is doing through His church.
Authenticity
We live in a context where appearance plays a fundamental role in our lives. However, we believe that each person is unique and has in him or herself the image of God. Therefore, as a church, we value everyone as they are. We want to create safe spaces where you can express your emotions and be who you are because God made you special and unique.
Working together
What are your talents? What energizes you? Everyone is part of God’s church: on stage, behind the scenes, as a helping hand. There are many opportunities. We believe every individual can contribute something to God’s kingdom on earth. That’s why your talents are essential. We want to serve together in this way we can grow together.
Praying
Prayer is the engine of the church. Praying together for each other, the congregation, our city, and our country in small groups. Weekly on Wednesday evenings at Philadelphia Kerk from 20-21 pm.
Our Team & Leadership
To carry out the mission of our God, it is necessary to have a work team. The leadership team is committed to providing timely help for your spiritual growth and is ready to answer any questions and concerns you may have.
